Adding links...

How do you add a link into something you've written?

I take it you are referring to links to web pages. Generally the progam in which you write the link will recognise it as a link automatically such as Word, Excel or Answerbank.  This is by the "www." at the beginning.

In Answerbank you need to put a space after the link to make it work correctly.

If I'm looking for answers to an AB question, I have two browser windows open. When I find a page I think that the questioner might want to see, I right-click in the address bar and select 'copy'. I then go to to the window I've got open for my AB answer, right-click and select 'paste'.

All you need to do then is highlight the entire link & then type the word you want to use

e.g. highlight www.google.co.uk and type google

I can't seem to get it working - I can transfer the http:// bla bla but cannot change the title.  I tried to say Thank then add a link to a EWE but... no joy.  Thanks anyway stoo_pid.

Hmmm.  It might be because it'll only let you change the link to one word.  Might be worth trying again

For example, if you were trying to get the EWE word to be the link, you would need to

• type Thank
• then put a space
• then either paste or type the website link
• then put a space or press return
• then carefully highlight the entire website link
• then while the link is still highlighted type EWE 
• then put a space or press return

So:
Thank http://www.ewe-phoria.co.uk/

becomes:
Thank EWE

Add your URL;

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/

making sure it turns into a link (underlined purple) by pressing return.

Then highlight the whole link exactly.

Over-type the URL with your desired phrase but with no spaces.

et voila, it should work.
