passport for babies - only in london!?

a few mates of mine reckon they have to all go to london to get their child a passport!

the mother is from canada so it may be a dual nat one...but still...seems a bit much

theres a proper passport office in town, surely they could sort it?

New UK passports (including those for children) can be obtained by post. (Adults also have to attend an interview but, clearly, babies don't!):

There's no such thing as a dual nationality passport - it's two passports, issued by two different countries.

Canada may insist in a visit for a new passport (Chris's site seems to be about renewals) - and more likely to register the birth as proof of Canadian citizenship
