Is anyone else on here joining in the TUC march from Victoria Embankment to Hyde Park on March 26th ? May see you there then
Me and OH will be going from Yorkshire. There are 2 coaches booked from Scarborough and Bridlington. Im hoping to meet up with my brother who is a councillor in Daventry who will be going with a coachload from there, and my son who lives in London and possibly another member of my family travelling from Birmingham. Its going to be a bit of a family get together as well as fighting for our jobs etc. looking forward to it. Going to be a long day though as we wont arrive back home probably till midnight and we lose an hour the next day when the clocks are moved forward

The annoying thing was that I found out the specialist comes to Brid every Friday, so why not see everybody there instead of making them travel to Scarb. I had to get a train , then taxi, then taxi back to the station just in time to catch the last train back to Brid. What a nightmare just for a 10 minute appointment.
The whole sytem just needs looking at by someone who has some common sense

I could name a few more
Our local council appointed a senior officer (can't remember the official title) to promote ameneties in local rural areas. Salary around the 30K mark. Lots of villages had signs put up with local bus information. Proper glass fronted bus timetable signs. Most of them now taken down by angry villages who would quite like a bus service!!
A lot of them said "No buses from from this village"!!
Lots of other examples too of non-jobs on over the top salaries.
