I too am looking for a large skillet - and have looked at the one you liked in E-bay.

Do you know can you put both lid and pan into oven. Thanks for reply

Depends on the size of the oven

No the size of the oven would be okay - I am unsure if handles etc would melt.

Connemara, I've just looked at the ad from ebay that divegirl posted and it says oven safe up to 400F/204C, so looks like you can.
