can you freeze soup?

My hubby made me my fave soup yesterday (butternut squash, carrot, red pepper and ginger) and he made rather alot, too much to get through in a week.
is it possible to freeze this? will it lose much quality, texture, flavour upon being defrosted and reheated?

1 small-med butternut squash, beeled and deseeded and copped, 1 2 medium red onions peeled and chopped, 1 large red pepper cored and deseeded and 6 carrots peeled and chopped add fresh garlic to taste (usually about 6 cloves in our house as we are afraid of vampires he he and 1 pint veg stock.
bring to boil then simmer for 30 mins then leave to cool then blend (eat eat eat and great thing is if dieting like i was its 0 ww points)
