cures for golfers elbow

I first started having trouble with my arm which was diagnosed as golfers elbow (not that I have ever played) I had a cortisone injection in January which really helped, however it started to be painful again after around seven months but my doctor said he couldn't give me another injection as I had had a reaction to it and it had made the skin go very thin.  He suggested physio of which I have had ten sessions but it is still very painful, does anyone know of any other remedies.

Hi there Linda, i also suffered from golfers elbow, but mine was bought on by repetitive strain injury.� I understand how painful it can be, the only thing i can suggest is to take cod liver oil to help you joints to move sround better.� The main thin you can do is rest it for a good 6 - 8 weeks and i mean complete rest!!!� Apply either heat or cold (frozen peas) as this may also help and try to give it a gentle massage yourself to get the muscle moving.� Hope this is of some help, i was off work for 4 and a half months with that and RSI, so i can understand how you must be feeling, but you do have to give it complete rest - get well soon xx

I've never heard of Golfers elbow, bit I had Tennis elbow, I soppose they must be near enough the same, mine was cured by an operation, they sliced a sliver of bone off the elbow, and never had any trouble since, but that was after three cortisone injections and physio, apparently three is the limit you can have.
