plants for a shady container.

I would like to plant something in containers in a shady part of the garden but not sure what.
Any suggesetions please. Nothing too high

Periwinkle is good in shady areas

Be sure to keep Periwinkle contained, as it is a nuisance in my garden, and has spread from my neighbours garden. `Sarcococca confusa` is ideal and will grow well in shade and has the most wonderful scent. The glossy, evergreen leaves grow into a dense mass, that few weeds can penetrate, and on a damp mild winters day the scent from the tiny white flowers travels for many yards. Height 3ft.

Pieris can look fantastic with the new red growth and then bunches of white flowers

variegated ivies, the smaller leaved hostas (put a strip of copper tape round the tub to deter slugs) impatients in the paler shades and white, fibrous rooted begonias, in larger tubs try something like viburnum tinus especially if it can be moved somewhere a bit brighter after flowering to ripen the wood, all the bulbs are good...transplant to the garden wwhen finished flowering, forget me nots, and pansies especially the smaller flowered types
