Cat Scratch Fever

My cat has a scratch on her neck/back about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide from a male cat trying to mate with her. now she will not stop scratching at the cut. She has no fleas.What can I put on her that will make her stop scratching at it?? Please help

If it's irritating her then it may well be infected. You should take her to the vets and get some cream.
We have said on this site before that cats are like people and have dirty teeth and claws. If a cat(or dog or person) damages another with teeth or claws, the wound is pretty much guaranteed to ber infected and to need treating as such (all together now ABers) Take your pet to the vet!!
I used an elizabethan collar on my dog when I wanted to stop him scratching, but if the cut is on the neck, that may not work.
