can anyone tell me a quick step by step to get into the registry of my pc ?

Click on Start --> Run and type "regedit" (without speech marks)!

Not recommended unless you know exactly what you're doing first, and make sure you make a backup before playing around in there!

To back up Use 'Export..' and save it to an external drive or device.  Do this before you alter ANYTHING, you can cripple your computer if you make a mistake.  Whew :)

Aqeel - what exactly are you wanting to do there in the registry? The only reason I'm asking is because if you're not sure how to access it, then perhaps it's not a good idea to play around with it? Please don't take that the wrong way, but like Tracee said, you can cripple your comp with a click of the mouse!!!

If you need to ask how to get into the registry,perhaps you should try to learn more about the registry before delving around in it.Is there a specific task you have to perform?
