Seaching for information on an Engineering company

Can anyone help me with information of the where abouts of a tool making company who used to have premises in Ashford in Kent (assuming they are still in business).
The company's name is (or was)
Grimston Electric Tools Ltd
Ashford. Kent
I'm hoping to get some wiring information on one of their pruducts if I can.
If they are no longer in business perhaps someone can help with information as to where I might find the information that I need.
With the same sort of quest a couple of years ago some helpful soul pointed me to a 'Forum' site that that particular company had set up when in business which proved to be still active and very useful.

That means they are no longer in business so now I have to hope that someone out there can help me with details about the wiring, or for that matter, any other details about one of their machines they think may be helpful.
The machine in question, made by THE GRIMSTON ELECTRIC TOOLS COMPANY formerly of Ashford in Kent is a very substantial floor standing 2 speed pedestal drill which has had all the wiring chopped of and now only runs at 1 speed.
Getting the motor out to have that check will be quite a substantial job which I may have to do in the end anyway but if I can check the wiring first it would maybe save all that work.

Robert - a bit late, but take it's a fairly old (1960's or older) machine? Do you have model No?

Graces guide may be able to help.I have used a Grimston pillar drill back in sixties, a good solid machine

It was a bit stupid of me not to have given the machines details but better late than never they are:
Manufactured by by Grimson Electric Tools late of Ashford in Kent(no longer trading}
Machine is a floor standing 2 speed pedestal drill
Capacity 1 M S (whatever that means)
Type 6C47A
HP 9 Volts = 400/440 Cycle 60 3 Phase 10 amps
Motor Speed 1425/2850 rpm
Ref S. O. 3455 m/c No 13010

Hi robert - is it one of there gear driven two speed machines? Do not understand all the details that you have given - a 9HP motor? Where did you get m/c info from?
