I want to buy large amount of second hand clothes. I heard that the quality of the clothes depends on the geographical area the clothes were collected from. Which area in the UK are considered as good areas for collecting clothes?

They are all bankers making huge profits from gambling other peoples money.
They are immune from the real World,never buy petrol and think nowhere north of Watford exists.

Their charity shops are like designer boutiques.

If you want a good "geographical area", and to do business with "that annoying people", I suggest you go to the 3rd world countries where they sell the clothes.

You could try collecting the annoying people's bags. The last 50 or so through my door no-one has ever come back for them.

The people in prosperous areas wouldn't give you the time of day. Places like Liverpool or Belfast are famous for their generosity. Try either of those cities.

I think that the people who return to collect the Charity clothes bags take a quick look and if the clothes are too skanky they'll leave them behind.

Most people good second-hand clothes to charity shops these days - I wouldn't give to any of these collecting bags, most of them go for rags anyway. We had a bag collection for charity at a place I worked a couple of years ago, there was some fabulous designer stuff but they sold on weight, £4 a bag. You could go to charity shops in high-class areas and ask if you can buy the stuff they are throwing out, not good enough for the shops.

Sara no, when I lived in Brighton there was fantastic designer gear donated to good causes like the hospice shop.

How could they trust the butler to burn them? They probably send them to shops where they'll be sold as pre-owned.

Some of the better off people are also as tight as they come. They take them to shops who pay them for their designer clothes.

When I've left bags filled with stuff for charity at the gate they've been stolen before the collector arrives. The last time I filled the charity bag with a mixture of old newspapers and grass clippings and, sure enough, it was lifted before the charity van came round. Hope they were disappointed.
