Can anyone tell me what this aforesaid picture was called, it appeared to hang in every (almost) living room. I hesitate to put this in A&L cos it's not really art!

Now I am stumped as I do not think it's one of those but very very similar. You see, I thought it was by my schoolfriend's father Laurent or Lawrence!

I doubt your schoolfriend's father painted it. More likely, your school friend was pulling your leg

Yeah, maybe my memory is playing tricks and I just think it's one of those pictures. Have to admit they do look right!

There is a picture which I have been googling for you but I cannot seem to find the correct search terms.......

It is of a black woman with her long hair piled up but with one tress falling to her bare shoulder. It is probably NOT the one you mean, but now it's driving *me* mad.....it is more blue (or green !?!), in tone than that ^ suggestion........

gosh .. tina .... my, that brings back memories, we used to have her up in our living room when i was a young un.
i think my mum and dad have still got her, but shes tucked away somewhere up in the loft now..
