Just had a phone call from a dear friend saying her S.I.L has came through a very complicated brain op, he is a Tornado pilot and was injured in Afghanistan, he is recovering well, sorry I know it's not a topic but I feel so happy hearing this

It's been terribly windy here in East Yorkshire today. It kept blowing my wheelie bins over and in the end I had to put them in the garage - got fed up of picking them up.

I believe he was injured in a sortie but as yet, I haven't got the full sp just the outcome of his op but his F.I.L intimated his flying days were over, very sad for such a talent,

I really am not too sure about the actual 'happening' TH, I would imagine ejecting from a Tornado plane would be nigh impossibly, when I say he was flying, even that maybe wrong? all is very sketchy at present, don't know if they landed or not but I don't feel it was appropriate to ask this question to his F.I.L who was just overwhelmingly relieved about how the op went
