How about a Good news topic ed?

That way when someone has good news they want to share there would be a topic which could be used.I think it would be an excellent idea and that way when some arent facing such brilliant news they could avoid that topic and it wouldnt be in their face so to speak.

Im sure ive seen this type of topic elsewhere.Might be worth a consideration?

Im sure that the Ed will wade through the salient posts and of course discard the foolish ones.

announcing good news, while may be pleasant, is not really the point of this site - its a q&a site, not a chat forum...

i come to this site because it has q&a.
i dont mind a bit of chat but its not really why i come, and i dont visit any other normal chat sites for this reason.
i am sure many others feel the same.

i see why you have thought of this, but i think b&S and CB will cover that sort of thing.

i think its important that the ed keeps that in mind because there are a great many suggestions that might sound ok but change the focus from q&a to chat.
