Very near Auch, Lectoure and Mirande
a great fire will fall from the sky for three nights
The cause will appear both stupefying and marvellous
shortly afterwards there will be an earthquake.

Those are there who say that even if this did happen, it wouldnt effect us directly as it doesnt seem to have affected our neanderthal ancestors that much - though an interesting one might be computers and comm, unication networks.

Nostradamus used a very difficult dialect of mediaeval french, and some of the words he used are just not known, because they have not been recorded in any other writings with any understandable meanings, especially not in dictionaries, which did not exist at that time anyway. It is impossible to make accurate translations into modern English (or modern French, come to that ) if a lot of the words mean nothing to the translator, who then just has to guess.
