Does anyone know of any books that are just related to the history of make up? I have an assigment in college to do. I've tried google and other search engines...

This isn't a book but it's a pretty useful brief history of makeup way back to the ancient Egyptians.

Email the public relations people at the major companies e.g estee lauder, max factor,etc they may be able to send you copies of some of their archive material and you might even get sent some freebies for showing an interest. Also there are trade journals which may have articles with some history in... always good to show you have sourced info from places other than books. Max factor are probably especially good as they were the brand leader for years
