I want to make homemade scampi but am swamped by the amount of recipes on the internet. Does anyone have their own recipe or tips that would help?

In all seriousness, my recipe for homemade scampi would be:-

Make a batter as for yorkshire pudding...drop prawns into batter...spoon them individually from batter and coat them with fine breadcrumbs; so that they are separated from each other. Then drop into boiling oil for a few minutes, at most.
