A day at the local Hospice, I am doing a course on the "End of Life Symptoms". Ive already done an extensive "Palliative Care" course.

These courses are invaluable in my work but they really do hit you hard, they really dig deep to find every hidden emotion sometimes.

I imagine it would.
When I did my care of the dying patient and family course We got througgh boxes of tissues different things set a few of us off most sessions....but I feel if you can't relate to the things you have to say or do those you are caring for know you are just going through the motions....

You might find this study day less emotionally demanding hough as it is more likely to be about ways of relieving the problems i.e pain control, managing breathing difficulties etc And also recognition of things like spinal cord compression
My husband died in the palliative ward of the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The nurses and doctors were so kind looking after him and making sure he did not feel pain at the end. And so kind to me. I have nothing but praise to give to all who do this work. It breaks my heart to think of it.
