i wanted to buyan ipod nano the other day but they have been called back and i was wondering if it is safe to buy one now? what is the real reason why they got called back anyway?

The hardware is not up to standard, the batteries aren't good enough and they don't last. There are much better flash and hard disk music players (made by Archos, Creative etc) than the Apple products.

Others aren't as 'stylish' and 'desirable! The main fault at the moment seems to the screen cracking! Apple say it is only in a 'small number'!!! Caveat Emptor?

I thought it was to do with the fact that people were using them as credit cards by mistake and breaking cash points. ;-)
