Does anyone else feel guilty about finishing a 'conversation' on a facebook chat - I never know how to get rid of someone I have had enough of chatting to! They always seem to come back with another message, and I feel compelled to answer. Usually end up saying I have got to go walk the dogs!

Yes...so I don't go on chat. I inbox people so that they can answer in their own time.

I never show I'm online on that thing, can't stand it lol

You can of course create your own Friend list ,and only Chat to people that you are really friendly with there.There is a little slidey switch which you can slide Offline and Online on your main set of friends.
Or simply just go Offline, in the Options.

Thanks will look for that. Another thing I find awkward is 'liking' people's posts - I feel compelled to like some comments but then feel bad about not liking others so end up going through and liking everything in case they are offended!

Blimey it's facebook. Just click go offline and when you talk again blame facebook for playing up again like it always does.

I prefer talking face to face with somebody or on the phone, that's real chat!

Definatly just go 'offline' and blame fb chat. Most people are used to chat doing its own thing so shouldn't get to suspicious... If you get a persistant offender just put them in the seperate list so you can show as being offline to just them.

Just for continuity, put 'bloody fb chat, always logging me off' as your status to put them off the scent.. ;0)
