I've served time for Serious Class A offences, and Possesion of High Value Stolen Prop.. Ouch!

I've got lots of previous Stamps in my Passport from US, and have entered with a Criminal record before, but now I'm an ex-con for Class A offences could I be on there??

Also If I did enter and lie, what would happen if I tried to extend that VISA. I've got a pretty good LEGAL job oppurtunity in NYC that I've always dreamed of and don't know what to do!!

Just out of interest, do the people who have offered you the job in America know about your colourful past?
What VISA is it you are on about? They are not extendible anyway - when they run out you need a new one.

If you are on about the visa WAIVER scheme (which it sounds like) that is not extendible under any circumstances. And it doesn't allow you to work.

I'd forget that job. You will need to apply for a work visa and during the application you will have to disclose your criminal record - you can't get away with lying as you have to produce a police document to show it or proving you have none. The fact that you have lied on previous visits to the US won't exactly help you either.
just out of interest how did you get a legal job here with your convictions ? also dont they have to advertise your job in the US first and can only offer it to you if they prove they dont get any suitable US applicants or have the job rules changed over there ?
