Ovulation concern

hi just after some reasurance really.... i have been trying to conceive for 2yrs 9 month now after coming off depo i had day 21 bloods done in november which came back as a level of 32 ( bearing in mind this test was done just 3 days after i ovulated)... i am now having to go for further tests an HSG x ray and a ultra sound scan very soon... and i have just had bloods done again but on day 23 of my cycle as i am a little irregular... my concern is i have used ovulation tests for a year n half and every month it has picked up the surge right upuntil this month and it hasnt i am just starting my cycle now on day 29/30 but my bloods were done on day 23 which has come back as only a reading of 27... nurse at docs said that this is fine... but doc told me they look for a reading of atleast 30 for a deffinate ovulation..... SO have i not ovulated this month as OV tests didnt pick up and the low progesterone count?... thanks for reading

I am a bit confused.........are those figures that you are giving, progesterone levels?

hi sqad... yes the 27 was progesterone level taken on day 23 and in november it was 32 and taken on day 21...... i just dont think i ovulated tho as ovulation tests didnt pick the surge up but im now thinking if i ovulated then it must have been on day 14/15 so is that why progesterone was only 27....... im even confussing myself lol all i want is a higher reslut to be sure as ive read anything below a 30 even if i ovulated wouldnt be strong enough to implant? is that right

OK 27 would indicate that you have ovulated, but have you implanted is quite a different matter as you will be aware. To be sure of the latter, one would be looking at levels between the 30´s and 40´s.

yes thats what i thought about the implanting stage i would not have a very good chance there would i... but because the ovulation tests didnt pick surge up maybe i didnt ovulate ... or maybe its because i had bloods done on day 23 of my cycle and say i ovulated on day 14/15 that would of been 9 days between ovulation and bloods so maybe my reading could of been over 30 but had dropped to 27 because of the 9days difference?

honey......LOL........maybe.

More likely is that you ovulated, but it wasn´t fertilised.

all i hope is that i did ovulate... just wish i could get a really good high reading.. then wouldnt worry so much... have to have a scan and a hsg soon then hopefully i will get clomid to sort my body out.. just feel like giving all this trying to concieve up ... seems like too much hard work lol
