Spot on cats ear

Hi one of my cats, who is about 9 has a spot on her ear today.  At first it looked like a little whitehead, but looking at it now its hard, and only small.  Dont think its a tick as its white in colour and they are frontlined every month.  Anyone any ideas before I book a vet appointment and cause her distress? thanks

Hope this doesn't worry you but does you cat have white hair on it's ears? If so they are prone to getting skin cancer (being fair skinned) the cases I have seen of this are usually treated very well.

Alternatively this could be a spot just like ours or an allergic reaction to a bite. It really could be a number of things.

Hi thanks for your answer.  It was however a tic, she has been frontlined and the horrible thing came off.  Thanks for your concern.
