thanks for ccd date,cyril changed his name by deed poll in 1940 just before jb was born.it cost him �5.it just seemed a coincidence that the two dates just about matched.where did you find cyrils death,ive looked everywhere.thanks.

Finding the date of CCD's death took about 5 to 10 minutes of searching. My problem is that I've just spent the better part of half an hour trying to find the same page and it's just not showing up!!

I've not got much time this evening but I'll keep on trying!

i picked up a musty old book published in 1948 called Master Of Non by cyril carr dalmaine,his life as a conductor,radio critic and express reporter.a strange book giving his working life but nothing of his personal times,exept that he was married twice and changed his name by deed poll.i know of the irish barringtons but hoped he may have been the father of jb.lol.anyway thanks chris,    JCB.
