My qualifications were what was then known as the Durham School Certificate {or the name of the county where ever you lived] It must be the equivalent of A levels now because to obtain this certificate you had to pass in English, maths, one foreign language and 2 other subjects.

Hi - I was unable to answer the Question on formal qualifications. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant when 5 year articles were the norm, rather than the shorter University degree route. It is accepted that 5 year articles are worth 2.5 degrees!
