It's called a mixed sheaf? So do these need to be put in water, if the poor lady has tons of flowers turn up would a basket be better so she doesen't have to find yet another vase? Can the flowers just sit in the basket and not need much attention?
Thanks in advance

What..the?, are you intending the flowers to be for the funeral, or for the deceased's family to keep at home? If a burial, a sheaf delivered on the day of the funeral to the funeral parlour or, if necessary, the home (is there no way you can find the date of the funeral). If a cremation, flowers are often distributed after the service to community homes or the like, so an arrangement in an oasis might solve the problem of keeping in water. Not adviseable to send flowers to the family of the deceased as they may not wish to have flowers at home at this time.
over the top - they are for the home, we have been told by someone else to send them there, surely then a tastful orchid instead of a huge bunch of lilies is less in your face 'death' incase they are sensitive to flowers in the home?
I can't order from tesco's as surley this would be inappropriate????

thanks for all the help today I went with interflora in the end becasue m&s couldnt promise white flowers which is a must. Also as I don't know the lady I don't want her getting upset by the flowers so have gone for a tasteful elegant display which doesn't overally suggest death and sympathy. Thanks again
