Getting my DVD back!
9 Answers
After some advise please...
I was working with a personal trainer once a week for last few months. During that time I lent him a DVD of a skydive i had done as he was planning on doing one and thought it may help.
Since then, he has taken on another job and can no longer train me which is fine, everything was left amicable, and I thanked him for his help over last few months etc. He said he would mail me the DVD the following week but it never arrived.
He could be a bit disorganised so left it couple of weeks and sent him an email to remind him as didnt want to forget about it. Still nothing. Left it another couple of weeks and sent a text, still nothing - oddly not even a reply. I said if he was busy i could collect it or would send a prepaid enevlope so he culd just drop it in a post box but nothing.
I wouldnt be so worried if it was a movie or something but as its a one off dvd i paid for its quite sentimental. What im asking is how do i get this DVD back?! Ive tried being friendly so what should I do now? He lives in a small village and has unusal surname so could probably find out where he lives via directory enquiries etc but does that look a bit OTT??
Do i have any legal rights though dont really want to go down that route but im running out of being nice!

Sorry should have mentioned I did also try to call but phone rings a few times then gets put to voicemail. Did leave a message but again nothing. Even if someone is busy they could just make a quick call and acknowledge me. I will post question in law and see what happens- did wonder which would be best section to post, thanks
Yes, that did cross my mind, hence ive kept my emails/ texts/ message short and to the point and remained friendly even though im a bit annoyed. But knowing how he was sometimes when i trained with him he could go few days wihtout replying and then apologise for delay as was busy so thought id give him a chance hence ive waited a few weeks...
