that was cut badley and wouldnt stop bleeding. Well yesterday he started feeling very sick and all night hot and cold. This morning aches all over his body,head ache and keeps feeling as if he is going to be sick. Could it be connected? or do you think he has a bug of some sort.? He is never ill and it is so unlike him. Many thanks

errrr, could it be that his finger is infected?? Just a thought ...

I remember it well.

If the cut is not painful, red and inflamed, then the symptoms are unlikely to be connected and he has probably a virus.

However if the wound is swollen, red and painful then the two may well be connected and he will need antibiotics.

If in doubt and to ease your mind......see your GP.

Has he had his tetanus jab in the last 5y ? Drag him to A&E & get him treated properly.

Many thanks for your answers. Sqad ,it is not inflamed but very sore and the whole finger is black and blue with a bruise, going down onto the top of his hand. Think it must be a virus he has picked up, just strange it has come about at the same time. The cut was clean , bleed so much which was good to clean it out even more.. Thankyou again.

If it's black and blue then it may be hard to see if underlying infection. Get to gp or nurse for a proper check.

lilac...thanks for the feedback......give him plenty to drink and 400mgms of Ibuprofen, but keep an eye on the cut and for the next few days just check his arm to make sure that there is no red line appearing.

i am no expert, but i agree that oh should seek medical attention., and if not connected to recent injury, good.
