I was just thinking about my maternal grandparents. They had 7 children - 4 girls and 3 boys. It would appear that I am the only one who has kept treasured mementos. When the last of the siblings died I was asked if there was anything I would like from her house - the only thing I could think of was a pair of rabbits that sat in the hearth, because my father had carved them as a present for her.

I know of a few tanneries - I wonder if it was Thomas Ware's?

Just did a google but I couldn't find it - only Avonside Tannery. It was a long time ago I have been retired since 1983 and it closed before that.
