A Bit Inconsiderate?

Just seen a friends status on facebook. It goes along the lines of how p1ssed off she is because the train is delayed. The reason it's delayed she says is due to a fatality.
Presumably someone jumping in front of it.
So she's angry because she's a bit late getting home. It's not the first time I've seen something like this written. It just seems a bit sad to me that you care more about a delay in your journey than you do about some poor sod who felt the need to top himself, or his family, or the poor train driver who had to watch his train kill someone. Now I'm p1ssed off.

Craft pointed out to me that she meant actually the exact opposuite, hence my apology to her. However I have posted at length on this thread quite seriously as this is something very pertinent to me and close to my heart.
On a similar note, Monday morning I was sitting in traffic (p!ssed off because I was late) on my way to a course when I happened to look across at a cemetery, and this particular part of the cemetery was the childrens section and there were balloons floating above quite a few of the headstones.
I could just make out some of the print of those balloons, "Happy 4th Birthday".."5 today" etc and it made me well up and think, "At least I`ll get home today and see my kids" and there I was moaning about a fooking traffic jam!

I'm not sure how I feel about suicide being a selfish act, I'm inclinced to think it is but I imagine that it's something that is subjective and I would take on an individual basis/set of circumstances. I DO think it's selfish that if you are that way inclined to throw yourself in front of a train thus at the very least traumatising the poor train driver who hits you. If you wish to take your own life, why would you need to drag other people in to it? That's not a dig or nastiness, it's a genuine question and not something I've ever had a particularly good answer... When you deliberately traumatise an innocent bystander, regardless of health problems, I do start to lose some empathy I'm afraid, rightly or wrongly.
China, When someone is at the point of suicide they do not, cannot think of anyone else, it is such a dark place to be, when I say "cannot" I mean "cannot" not "don't want to" its the state of the brain in shutdown, it isn't working like a normal brain. The brain has been compromised by stress, fear, love and in a state that we will never understand unless we have been there. China, if you read some of these other posts it will help to give you a clearer understanding I'm sure.
