Google Earth Flight Simulator

In the latest version of Google Earth there is a the option to add a Flight Simulator. It recommends that Ctrl+Alt+A is the way to enter the prog. Unfortunately this doesn't always work and a patch was published which solves the problem. I did this successfully but I have had to re-format and I have lost the patch instructions. Can anyone help me to solve this please?
