If my memory is right you posted last year about the ospreys from the Scottish wild life trust at loch on the lowes where we watched for weeks. I would like to let you know that our first osprey has arrived back from South Africa to Rutland water here in Leicestershire.. He is a 14 year old bird and named Mr Rutland. He has raised 23 chicks with 3 different females since 2001.His return this year is just a day later than last year. and exactly the same date as his return on 2009.Live cam can be found at www.ospreys.org.uk
Hi Wendilla, just to tell you I've been keeping an eye on the Loch of the Lowes - so far no ospreys have appeared, but they expect them any time soon. Here's the link if you're interested

Thanks Karenmac . I did watch them last year at the Loch of the lowes. Very interesting to watch. I had just started watching it when the mother lost loads of weight but she was ok but will watch out for it all this time.
Hi Wendilla - thank you! That is brilliant news. I understand that the Loch of the Lowes birds are hoped to return any time in the next three weeks. An osprey was seen overflying the Romney Marsh here in Kent last week, so I wonder if it was Mr Rutland?!
