i'm having an indian take away tonight and don't know what to have.

What's a dupiaza, a jahangir, a methi and a bhuna like?

Have you tried a minced meat curry? Is it like the filling in a keema nan?

As a curry is a rare treat these days, i worry that i'll order the wrong thing and then not enjoy it!

I like, samber, rogan josh, korma, bangalore, dansak.

Thanks

Curry tastes are so individual. Personally, i like sweet curries such as kormas and dhansak but a lot of my mates hate them and go for biryani or madras.
I also like peshwari naan breads....sultanas, coconut and a few other things.

If it was me tonight, i'd be having a lamb dhansak, pilau rice and peshwari naan.....washed down with a few bottles of cobra lager
Dupiaza is middling strength with double onion - I love that one.  Bhuna is also medium strength and quite dry.  Not sure about the others, and i don't eat meat!
I always pick something from the Chefs special range as they are usually the best. All the others vary so much from restaurant to restaurant and are all mostly made up dishes any way that it is too hard to tell which will be good.

I always like the starters most personally, try a prawn puri (pronounced pooree) and sheek kebabs
MMMMMM curry! Personally I really like a dupiaza. Its a medium spice, a bit tomato-y and onion-y. Ive had a bhuna gosht before, but I cant remember if its the one cooked with yoghurt and almonds (mild), or the one that tastes a bit citrus-y (medium I think!) Either way, theyre both delicious! Never heard of the others im afraid!

Enjoy! And have a mouthful for me!
for me it HAS to be ....chicken vindaloo , vegetable pilau rice ,
garlic / chilli nan ...and as much lager that is physically possible !!!!!!!!!! please dont try this tonight though .
build your way up to it !!!
seriously though ....if your phoning in your order , you can always describe what your after , and im sure they will suggest something .
ENJOY ..

thanks everyone, i chickened out and had a bangalore with a garlic naan! It was FAB!!

Next time, nicola_red and hannahjo,  I 'm going to try a dupiaza as i love onion.

As for you beerbelly, i couldn't eat a vindaloo if my life depended on it!!

If you like mild/creamy dishes i recommend a pasanda. You can ask for a chicken, lamb, or prawn pasanda. It tastes fab with egg fried rice. One of my fav's.
