Why are somethings just so unfair?

Hey all,
Bleugh, been one of those weeks really!
Early Monday morning my great niece was born, so cute bless her! Tuesday had my accident, and last night my SILs mum died after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
So my SIL had her first grandchild born on Monday, and her Mum died yesterday. Cant help but think her mum held on to see the baby, even though for years she has not known who any one is, not even her own children.
They have had so much thrown at them in the last year or so, just wish I could stop it being so hard for them.
Sorry its a bit of a sad thread, just not feeling top good at the mo.
Hope everyone else had a better time then I did! :-)

So, as unfortunate as the death of your SIL's mother is, I am sure she is delighted and reassured by the good times that await her in looking after her grandchild!
Thank you both.
I think I have still been a bit of a mess since the accident and everything so it is one of those times when things get to me more.
Its kind of complicated, my sister had a mental break down March last year (she is married to my SIL). My SIL and her sister have been their mums carers for the last 5/6 years. My SILs auntie commited suicide a few weeks before Christmas which came completely out of the blue.
Then something happy! My SILs daughter had a baby, making my sister a nan at 32 an me a great aunt at 24.
The baby was taken to see her once, but for years she has not known who any one is, even asking my SIL what her mum was like!
Sorry - this is probably all a bit confusing!

There seems to be times that we undergo the most awful trials. Atm my daughter has split from her husband, lost her home, and now lost her job so she has very little to survive on atm. Anything else I think will push her over the edge, but she is coping somehow. I just pray the the light will be at the end of the tunnel soon for her. It can't last forever. I think it must be a test of faith and character that gets people through the tough times. At least she has me and her dad, plus quite a few friends. All the best to you and your sil wiggal x
