hi chox

7a choke damp

44a I think this is an error - I think it's Remember, but if so, there's an error
Question Author
HI seekeerz, I thought it could be Remember too but I am sure that 30d is "Thorium" (radioactive mineral commonly found in the chemical element, atomic number 90). What do you think? Thanks, Chox.
I've got thorium as well so I can't figure it out - I've just pointed it out to a friend, I'll be interested to see what they make of it .. I'll get back to you
Question Author
I think it's "thorite". So I'm all done. Thanks so much seekeerz for your help this morning, much appreciated. Chox.
ahh, ok you might well be right, thanks and a pleasure, as always
Noun 1. thorite - a radioactive mineral consisting of thorium silicate; it is a source of thorium that is found in coarse granite
atomic number 90, thorium, Th - a soft silvery-white tetravalent radioactive metallic element; isotope 232 is used as a power source in nuclear reactors; occurs in thorite and in monazite sands
mineral - solid homogeneous inorganic substances occurring in nature having a definite chemical composition

The question asks , Radioactive mineral commonly found in the chemical element atomic number 90
thorite is correct
44a is Remember because 30d is Thorite NOT thorium!
7a chokedamp I think
I think that 30d is wrongly presented. We were actually looking for a mineral containing the element Atomic number 90, i.e Thorite containing Thorium
Sorry Sam but you were looking for the exact opposite. A mineral found in an element. Not an element found in a mineral.
Got me as well! First rule of answering; "read the question". I wonder how many more of us there are
