What is the significance??
My son lives in West London and there are obviously many cultures there. He has recently
noticed that the Arab run businesses have displayed bowls of goldfish and what looks like pots of grass, he asked me if I know why and I don`t. Is this for a religious festival, does anyone know???

Nowrūz (also spelt ''No-Rooz", and various other ways) is the Iranian New Year. It's a public holiday in Iran (as well as in Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and parts of Georgia). The actual holiday period is usually 4 days, starting on either 20th or 21st March (depending upon the country.
