Whilst boiling some pasta, open a tin of peas and a tin of sweetcorn and put into a large mixing/serving bowl. Mix in some tuna...a couple of small tins usually does the trick, slice up a pepper, an onion and a couple of pineapple rings and mix up together.
Add some italian mixed herbs, mix in the pasta and stir in a small amount of mayonaise.
All ingredients to be drained.

Takes about 10 minutes to make a big bowl full which can last several days. It's also fairly cheap and makes a wonderful salad for a barbeque, bonfire night party etc etc
Any of the items can be omitted or others added.
I like it cold with a jacket spud but it can be sprinked with cheese and grilled to melt the cheese.

Just thought i'd get that off my chest and share it with you....anyone do similar or add other ingredients ???

my mum makes that for my dads lunch and adds a can of tuna on top before she packs it every morning (my bro and sis like it without) , she adds new potatoes and shredded lettuce as well, yum

I've also done it with half cherry tomatoes and chunks of cucumber too. Forgot to add mushrooms too....usually smothered in garlic and microwaved for a few mins...niiiiiice

Occasionally, i might use thousand island sauce instead.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention that my mum puts in tomatoes and cucumber too! its a bit of a mix to try and remember everything lol

How about pasta, tuna, kidney beans, shredded lettuce and mayo, all mixed together? It's simple, but nice and filling.

Yummeeeee!!!! have now got my lunch sorted for next week.

Thanks very much Andyjevs
