Further to my post of 22nd March - I am STILL having huge problems with Argos and have STILL not had my refund!!! Shocking!!! Anyone else having problems? Anyone else claimed compensation for out of pocket expenses (waiting for delivery of crap furniture and waiting for collection of same, said, furniture)?
The only thing I had was I ordered somethign to be delievered on a specific day over the festive period and it never arrived by time stated, so I phoned customet services and they said due to the back log the deliveries are being extened but I would get it the same day. I never got it delivered till the following morning, all I can say was I was glad I never took a day off my work just for that would have been so annoyed. I tend to use John Lewis for anything now as they are so much better
I've only got good things to say about Argos! Had quite a bit of stuff delivered lately (not long moved house) and it's all arrived exactly when they said that it would, and I've been very impressed with the quality given the prices! Had a phone call about one delivery (due on a Saturday morning) that they couldn't deliver until the Monday, and they refunded the delivery charges straight away - I didn't even ask!
Good for you JB, glad it work sometimes. I order on 5th March and paid, they promised 14 day delivery and missed this - then delivered part of the order, the quality was frankly little better than firewood, fixings missing/broken etc - collected it 8 days ago and still no refund!! Am dealing with the directors office, and they are marginally better than call centre, but still not refund me!!!
