For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you mean do all species have long tails then the answer is no. There is a specie called the Blood Pheasant that inhabits areas of Nepal, Tibet and Burma that has a fairly short tail, more like a Quail in fact.
In the UK there is the Common Pheasant which has the longest tail at 33in, but If you live in the Midlands you may be lucky enough to see the gorgeous Lady Amherst's Pheasant which is now established after escaping from a private collection at Woburn Abbey. East Anglia has a small area which supports the equally beautiful Golden Pheasant. Both these have tail lengths of 23in.
Like the majority of this breed it is the brown female and the equally dowdy juvenile that have the slightly shorter tails.
