What are the names of your most handsome animals?

Hi albaquerty. Our 3 yr old grey Irish Wolfhound is called Merlin ... as in the wizard Merlin. We rescued him and felt he was such a magical boy, hence the name. His 2 year old wheaten / red half brother ( on ratter's profile photo) is Gilligan and then there is our youngest, our little bitch Caoimhe (or Keeva). She is not quite 11 months old. We hope to be breeding with Gilligan and Keeva next year. Glad you like them. They are so lovely to live with!

Oh, and I nearly forgot out little Sammy. He is a 10 yr old gold and white Shih-Tzu and a lovely little character!

Thanks! x I love that little fello on your profile! Ratter's sister has got two West Highland bitches and they both have puppies at the moment. One little of 1 week olds and one of 2 weeks. They are sooooooo tiny and sooo cute!!!

I have always had Irish Wolfhounds, but didn't want to breed until circumstances were right. The time is right for us now and we are very excited at the prospect of puppies in the house. Luckily we have lots of friends in the breed and have been getting plenty of advice. We won't breed with Keeva until she is 2 years old though, as this is important with giant breeds and we want to do this in a responsible manner. Food costs for the three wolfies is around £160 a month. But they are well worth it! Living with Wolfhounds is truly an amazing experience! How old is your little Lucy? She looks like a puppy still, just lovely!

If I had a bigger house-and a garden-I'd love a wolfie or deerhound. They are gentle giants. I'd also have a newfie...and a choc lab.....and a few more lurchers in varying sizes...lol

We consider ourselves extremely privileged to be able to share our live with these truly magnificent hounds, an absolute pleasure to live with. As long as they don't stand on your bare foot they are great, Grrrr they are heavy monsters lol.

Our Lucy is a 6 yr old lurcher cross and had been passed from pillar to post for about the first year and a half of her life.

I bet they're the softest, gentlest creatures tho, irrespective of their size. :)
