Firstly, happy Mothers Day to all mums.

Bobjugs has just had a peanut butter sandwich and I've just eaten half of a Soreen Malt Loaf. We're both saving ourselves for a nice meal out tonight.

Happy Mothering Sunday to you too NoMercy. We aren't able to do anything special as ratter15 is working and my two grown up children are like their dad (my ex-husband), they can't be bothered and hence I don't get so much as a phone call on my birthday or on Mother's Day. My Mum is 94 and lives with us. We gave her a really nice card, her favorite Thornton's Chocolates, some flowers and I baked her a German Cheesecake (another favorite). The surprised smile on her face was priceless, as she didn't realise it was Mothers' Day and was really chuffed! I love her to bits! But for me it will be a quiet night like every other until my darling man comes home.
So NoMercy, I wish you two a really lovely evening out!

Hi Carakeel, I'm sorry I wasn't here to reply yesterday, but we dropped the kids back off at their mum's and shot off to Winchester. We had a nice time but we're both exhausted now. Bobjugs needed cheering up and I think our night away and lunch in Wickham today has helped make him more cheerful.

I bet you made your mum's day with the choccies and cheesecake. Sometimes seeing the pleasure you give others is pleasing enough without getting anything in return... but if I know one thing about a fellow aber, it is that your OH absolutely loves the bones of you! x
