When I got them home and was cutting the stems off, four of the actual flowers fell off when I picked the stem up. Those stems look a little bit naked now. I know I could probably have taken them back but that's a lot of hassle.
I brought and delivered flowers from my mums local florist (she lives miles away) and I made my step dad send me pictures. I was proper chuffed with the results and pleased that it was a small business that did it as I know interflora (I tried them first) were absolute cak when I was trying to order with them, not worth the money at all.
My Mum got the best value. My brother sent her a basket of flowers delivered on sunday then today the same florist van came again with another big bouquet she explained they couldnt be for her as she had already received some from both of her children and her grandchildren but the driver said its the end of the day I am not taking them back! So free!!! Although her house does now look a bit like a funeral parlour.
If my kids or my bloke bought me flowers for mother's day or any other 'event' then I wouldn't be at all pleased and they know it. Flowers are overpriced and have no place except growing in the ground where nature intended them to be, and where they happen to look their best.
They can doo cuddly toys, choccies or a bottle of something nice, but flowers ... never!
