While I wouldn't want to be seen dead with the Daily Sport in my possession, I still feel a slight tinge of sadness at the loss of something which seemed to be a last bastion of British eccentricity. (Where else in the world would a newspaper publish a front page story about a bus being found on the Moon? It could only happen here!)
Don't mention buses to me, DTCF.
I've just discovered a brand new pub in Ipswich, owned by a tiny local brewery. It's got up to 18 real ales (including their own beers and guest ales) on at any time. They're sensibly priced, at around £2.50 per pint but you get 50p per pint off all of the brewery's own ales if you supply your own tankard! There's a direct bus route from where I live, with a stop right outside the pub. But, just as that superb pub has opened, Suffolk County Council has withdrawn all of the evening bus services! Grrrr!
