'and anyone else who knows me'
anyone else HATE it when contestants on radio shows say this??
It drives me nuts.
They give a long long list of people (some of whom are in the same house, or are listening anyway), and then end by saying 'and anyone else who knows me'!
If they'd have said that at the start, we wouldn't have had to endure the boring list of names!
Grrrrr

It's the same gene that means that anyone who sees a TV camera in the street needs to go up to it and pull faces like a five-year-old with a personality disorder, or, if late at night at the individual is somewhat tired and emoitional, they have to raise their arms and shout "Woooo ..." at the tops of their voices, and if a young lady, expose breasts that are certainly better for the viewing nation if left covered up!

LOL Andy.
I remember years ago, i was a little girl, listening to Tony Blackburn and someone ringing in. After they'd finished whatever they were doing, they asked if they could possibly say hello to their mum, who lived a long way from them and he wanted her to know that they were thinking of her as she was going in hospital or something. I remember thinking, 'Oh, how sweet, his mum will be really chuffed to hear her name on the radio!'
But now it's got completely out of hand!
I would love to go on popmaster, so that when Ken Bruce says, 'Do you want to say hello to anyone?' I'll say: 'No thanks'. !!

On this sort of subject - I hate it when on Quiz progs a contestant is given 3 or 4 options as an answer "Oh yes I know this one" but doesn't give the answer but goes on about how it isn't Q1 because >>>> or Q3 because >>>> so the answer is Q2
Why don't they just say first of all the answer? and not go all round the houses.
GRrrrr!! - jem
