I've just read on the internet that there is a prediction that the world is going to end on 21st December 2012 (apparantly a lot of people are aware of this so I don't know how I missed hearing about it!).

Then there's always a major epidemic or pandemic or whatever it's called. I was reading during the week that diseases are getting very good at fighting antibiotics.
