Had my Asda shopping delivered today and I just glanced at the delivery note and saw that they had charged me £11.16 for one box of sandwich bags. I don't normally check it but I will be from now on. (Rang them and got the refund and an e voucher for a free delivery (£4.50) so can't fault them for their customer service.)
My shopping is usually around £100 mark and this item only caught my eye as it looked like they had charged me 11.16p (which is obviously not a real amount) as it was out of line with the other figures, so I thought I had got a bargain! Will be checking it with a fine tooth comb from now on.
If my shopping comes to more that £100 I have to trawl the site to find more bargains - it's to save money and it has become something of a challenge. (Deeply sad, I know.)
Hi Lore - the confirmation e mail stated £1.00 but they clearly state that they will charge you the price that the goods are in store, on the day of delivery, so prices can change a bit.
A few weeks ago I had a delivery and they charged me more than what was on the original email confirmation note. I rang them up and they deducted the amount that was over. I then realised why there was an overpayment. When I did the order I ordered 8 jars of baby food to get a special offer but when it arrived there was only 7 jars as they didn't have one of them in stock. What they had done was charged me full price for all the jars as it would not have qualified for the special offer.
