I know it is very early when they start but what a welcoming sound as they welcome in a new day. one of my favourite things, like newly mown grass.

I like the smell of fresh washing when you get it off the clothes line.

everytime I put a hot wash on DEN, the smell always reminds me of my Mum when she washed and boiled the white sheets in a poss tub..LOL

Monday was always 'wash day' and that was it. Nowdays, (well in my house anyway) the bloody machine is on everyday. Are we cleaner now, and dirtier back then, or do we just wash clothes now for the sake of it ?

I'll be back in a minute, am just going to hang washing out (no seriously, I am )..

My parent's neighbour successfully campaigned to have a tree beside them cut down because she didn't like the dawn chorus. Miserable old so and so.

i love hearing the birds early in the morning . owls hooting in the evening. looking up at the night sky on a clear night watching the stars . the smell of flowers in the garden. nearly mown grass too. and the fresh smell of the washing when ironing it after it's been dried outside. but with summer i don't like the pong of bbq's and having a field behind my garden the pong of rotting cabbages or cauli's lol. back to the postives i love the smell of rain .
