Big leaved plants that give off a lot of oxygen

I have some stuffy rooms that could do with some brightening up and the extra oxygen, I'm thinking maybe some sort of tropical plant? Could you name a few that easily obtainable and cheap please.

The obvious one is any house plant - go to your local garden centre or homebase. It's hard to recommend without knowing how light or sunny your house is - houseplants don't thrive in our house.

Although not big, Peace lillies (Spatiphyllum) are known to remove some toxins from the air and promote a good atmosphere.
