I loved it. Great entertainment considering the other usual rubbish on a Saturday evening, like celebs doing things.

I watched it last night and found it to be good entertainment. Some of the singing wasnt bad, Piers brosnon was terrible though I agree. I enjoyed it overall but wouldnt watch it again.
It was a fun thing just like Grease or Sat Night Fever.

Meryl Streep was way too old to play that part, I mean the daughter was, what 20?, which means that Streep would have been about 40 knocking about on the hippie scene!

the film itself is quite passable.....but apart from the box office attraction, and therefore profit, what on earth was the point of employing people who obviously cannot sing well in a musical???

I watched 15 mins of it then came on here.
I went to see it on stage in London & it was fantastic.The whole audience was up on their feet at the end, the atmosphere was electric, I was on a high for days afterwards.
So 15 mins of THAT was more than enough.
