Wasps

I thought with the hard winter we had there would be less of those nasty stingey angry things but for the last 3 weeks, we've been inundated. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a lot of them about lately?!

Why does everyone seem to hate wasps ?
You are far more likely to be stung by flailing your arms around, trying to swat them, than by just leaving them alone. They soon fly away.
My worst experience was when one landed on my top lip and started to crawl up my left nostril. I knew trying to brush it away would probably lead to my being stung, so I kept trying to snort it out. Eventually, it flew away.
I have never been stung by a wasp and only ever once by a bee - when I tried to pick one up when I was about 8

I love the bees and we do seem to have loads of them. I do hate wasps though. They sting you for no particular reason other than because they can. (I know, this has happened to me - didn't even know there was anything on the back of my neck until the little so and so stung me).
There are 4 of them in my polytunnel at the moment. Not impressed.
